COOKIE MONSTER GETS IT RIGHT EVENTUALLY.......

Cookie Monster has been in training since i got her at 8 weeks of age, including two lots of Puppy Pre School, twice a week for 4 weeks, then she was old enough for real obedience school.....  I wanted a socilaised puppy, hence the reason for lots of puppy school.  I also wanted her to get along with my other creatures, including Bruiser the Scottish Fold, my Bunnies, Humphrey the turtle, Cheese and Vegemite, the Pygmy Dragons etc....

At Puppy Pre school, Cookie Monster successfully got put in the naughty room for 4 weeks running, as all she wanted to do was run around and sniff out the environment, instead, she had to spend to bulk of an hour each week in my lap, and some time learning new things, like, sit, drop, and stand.....

The other puppy pre school, she was allowed to run around playing with the other puppies and socilaising, hence why she probably kept getting chucked in the naughty room at the other pre school, lol.  My welcome to the headstrong pulis!

She also won best Fancy dress, lol, in her Red ballerina dress, she borrowed from Lamb Chops Wardrobe, lol, What a cutie!

Always have fun with your dogs, even if it involves dressing them up, have fun!  My theory behind putting clothes on cookie, was that i wanted to get her used to having weight on her all over, as when her cords started to form, she would have to get used to the weight of them on her body.

Starting real obedience school at 12 weeks of age was another challenge in itself, my headstrong puli would not walk happily on a lead, so out came the halti.  20 minutes worth of temper tantrum, and cookie was ready to walk nicely on a lead....  it was worth the 20 minutes of tantrum, as my shoulder and back couldnt take much more yanking!  The trainers at obedience school were awsome, helping me to get Cookie over herself, and do what i want her to do......

Starting in 1st class, by the time Cookie Monster was 7 months of age, she had made it to 4th class!  the youngest in the class by far, she kept up with the older ones, i think the older ones were a steadying influence on her, as she made leaps and bounds in listening to commands, and her stays, and recalls became really steady.
